Victor Gappmaier, MD
Founder & Chief Medical Officer
With over a decade of experience using ketamine in medical treatments, Dr. Gappmaier completed his residency in emergency medicine at Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. He brings a unique blend of expertise to their practice, combining the precision of western medicine with a deep appreciation for eastern holistic approaches, including breathwork, sound therapy, and meditation. This integrative approach addresses not only the physical symptoms but also the emotional and spiritual dimensions of healing.
Having grown up in a religious background in a conservative state, Dr. Gappmaier has cultivated a deep empathy for individuals dealing with traumatic disorders. Their passion for mental health is rooted in personal experiences, including witnessing the challenges of mental health disorders within himself, their own family, and navigating their identity as a member of the LGBTQ+ community.
At TherapeutiK Sessions, Dr. Gappmaier is dedicated to creating an inclusive and supportive environment where patients can rediscover hope and healing through a combination of cutting-edge medical treatments and holistic care practices.
In their free time, Victor enjoys exploring and finding hidden dining gems in the city, traveling to see architecture and museums, is a movie aficionado, and loves outdoor activities such as snowboarding, skiing, and hiking.
